What would you choose?

In the upcoming Budget, the government faces a choice: prioritise the alcohol industry’s profits, or instead protect the vulnerable and shore up public services by raising alcohol duty.

Recent cuts to alcohol duty have cost the government more than £1bn every year – that's enough to fund 40,000 nurses or 29,000 police officers. The government admits that the harm caused by problem drinking is rising, but in recent years has prioritised alcohol industry profits.

We believe the government should put health first. This is why we are asking to increase alcohol duty by 2%.

Email your MP and tell them what you would choose.
